Of all the things the world needs, I thought yet another website speed checker was among the least. But – this one is actually pretty cool.
Fast or Slow is from Wordfence, and is pretty cool because … It gives me a score of 100%!
Not just that though, it is also cool on its other merits. It tests from 13 locations:
- U.S. Southeast (Miami, Florida)
- U.S. Southwest (Los Angeles, California)
- U.S. Northeast (Newark, New Jersey)
- U.S. Northwest (Seattle, Washington)
- U.S. Central (Dallas, Texas (seems more south-central than central, but oh well))
- England (London)
- Germany (Frankfurt am Main)
- Japan (Tokyo)
- Singapore (central Singapore)
- India (Mumbai)
- Australia (Sydney)
- Brazil (Sao Paulo)
- Netherlands (Amsterdam)
The graphics are cool, as is the comprehensiveness of the information and the extensive Help feature.
It won’t replace webpagetest.org as my primary speed checker, but it has a place in my toolbox.
